Hard to break

We overmolded shock-absorbing TPU over plastic with an inner metal structure to meet MIL-STD-810 durability standards. To prove its strength, we put it through rigorous testing:

One laptop, every angle

Framework Laptop 12 is a true convertible. The 360-degree hinge moves through three modes: clamshell for daily work, tent for watching and presenting (or as a second screen when docked), and tablet for sketching and marking up directly on the 12.2" touchscreen. Touch input and USI 2.0 stylus support mean you can work the way you want, in any mode.

Five colors, all portable

It’s not small enough to fit in your pocket, but it fits most places you'd actually want a laptop: your lap, a backpack, a tiny desk, an airplane tray. And it comes in five expressive colorways. Choose pre-built in Sage, or go DIY Edition in Sage, Bubblegum, Lavender, Black, or Gray.

Pick your ports

External adapters are a thing of the past. Framework's Expansion Card system lets you choose exactly which ports you have, and exactly where they sit on the laptop. Mix and match USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort, and storage cards to connect older peripherals, add storage on the fly, or drive up to two 4K displays at 60Hz, two per Thunderbolt 4 port over DisplayPort 2.1.

Privacy

Your privacy is protected at a hardware level, with physical switches that electrically cut off the webcam and microphones whenever you need.

Keyboard

Responsive full-size keys with 1.5mm key travel. Made in a wide range of language and layout options, now including an optional backlit US English Keyboard.

Fingerprint reader

And because it's built into the replaceable Power Button Board, you can add it whenever you want, or skip it entirely.
