Framework Computer B.V. Limited Warranty

Article 1: Introduction and Agreement

1.1 Entity Information. We are Framework Computer B.V., a company incorporated in The Netherlands, with its registered office at Flight Forum 40 Ground Floor, 5657 DB Eindhoven, Netherlands ("Framework", "we", "us").

1.2 Agreement to Terms. By using your Framework product, you agree to be bound by the terms of the Framework Limited Warranty ("Warranty") below.

1.3Terms of Sale. This Warranty is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Sale. All capitalized terms used in this Warranty without definition will have the same meanings set forth in the Terms of Sale.

1.4 Acceptance. If you do not agree to the terms of the Warranty, please return the Product within the return period stated in the Terms of Sale.

Article 2: Scope and Applicability

2.1 Geographic Coverage. This Warranty applies to Framework-branded products purchased from Framework or an authorized reseller, and applies only in countries to which Framework ships and supports.

2.2 Limited Warranty. Framework warrants that Framework branded products, parts, and modules ("Product") when used in accordance with Framework documentation and guidance, are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods from the date of delivery:

  • Two (2) Years for Customers in all EU Member States (except where a longer period is specified below).
  • Three (3) Years for Customers in Spain and Portugal.
  • Five (5) Years for Customers in Norway.

This Warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee. It does not replace, limit, or exclude any mandatory statutory rights you have under your local consumer law, which may provide for longer periods of coverage based on the nature of the Product and its expected reasonable life.

Article 3: Method of Warranty Service

3.1 Claim submission. To submit a Warranty claim, contact Framework Support at support@frame.work. If Framework determines in its sole discretion that the Product has a defect or malfunction that is covered under the Warranty, we will determine in our sole discretion whether to repair, replace, or refund the Product to resolve the issue.

3.2 Self-Service Repair. If possible, Framework will provide replacement parts or modules and repair guides to enable you to self-service your Product. Framework is not responsible for any labor or equipment costs you incur self-servicing your repair.

3.3 Replacement Standards. In some cases, Framework may determine that a full Product replacement is required. The replacement Product, parts, or modules may be new or refurbished items that are equivalent in performance and reliability to the original.

3.4 Return of Parts. If Framework determines that a Product, part, or module needs to be replaced, we will provide instructions for return of the replaced item. Framework may require a credit card authorization for the retail price of the replacement item, which is released when Framework receives the replaced item.

3.5 Non-Return Fees. If Framework does not receive the replaced item as instructed or the replaced item is ineligible for Warranty service, Framework will charge your card for the authorized amount.

3.6 Full Unit Repair. If Framework determines full unit repair is required rather than field replacement, we will provide a prepaid mailing label and, if necessary, packaging material and instructions.  Framework will perform repair on the Product, or, if necessary, issue an equivalent replacement Product.

3.7 Transfer of Property. All returned Framework Products, parts, or modules become Framework’s property.

3.8 Continued Coverage. Any Product, part, or module repaired or replaced under this Warranty will continue to be covered by the Warranty for the greater of the remainder of the original Warranty period or (90) days following your receipt of the repaired or replacement Product, part, or module.

3.9 Repair Extension. In accordance with EU Directive 2024/1799, if you choose to have your Product repaired rather than replaced under this Warranty, the Warranty Period for the entire Product will be extended by an additional twelve (12) months from the date the repaired Product is returned to you.
